Low Energy House
STOP PRESS - Talk postponed until the Autumn.
Jeremy Harris has built his own home insulated to such a standard that it will have a negative energy consumption. There are many innovative ideas built into the house.
There have been many hurdles on the way to the final build and only by great tenacity and quite a lot of patience and good humour have been essential.
The fascinating story of how all this came about can be heard in the Harnham Memorial Hall on Monday 31st March starting at 10 am for a mere £1 entry cost.

The South Wiltshire Farmland Bird Project
The South Wiltshire Farmland Bird Project is an exciting initiative working closely with farmers to stabilise and increase the numbers of farmland birds and rare arable plants.
The Sci_Tech group had a talk from Tracy Adams today. An excellent and informative talk it was. For those who sadly missed this you can see a lot about it on their web site - just click HERE.
There is a video here that is very informative about the project if, sadly, of lowish video quality.
Tracy also offered to take us on a Farm Tour in the summer if there is sufficient interest from members. Just inform the Sci-Tech committee members please.
