The Trustees wish to express their thanks to the Salisbury Area Board for the Community grant of £879 received towards replacing the hall windows in the kitchen & toilets.
The grant awarded by the Salisbury Area Board was used to replace 6 old metal windows with new thermally efficient UPV double galzed windows. The hall users will benefit from this project as the present windows are unsightly and draughty, they will also help preserve the building. The new kitchen windows should reduce condensation.
It is also anticipated that these windows will reduce of the cost of the hall gas heating.
You are invited to attend a county-wide First World War Commemoration Event on Wednesday, 30 July at 10am at Tidworth Military Cemetery.
This event will be for communities across the county to come together to mark and commemorate the sacrifice made by 10,000 soldiers from Wiltshire during the First World War. Each fallen soldier will be represented on a named cross – the names researched, and the crosses produced by Wiltshire school children. Each cross will be placed on a wall of remembrance which will provide the focus for this special event.
This event is open to anyone who wishes to attend the service of remembrance and reflect on the huge sacrifice made by so many from Wiltshire. Please extend this invitation in your local community as there is the capacity to host up to 10,000 attendees at the cemetery and we recognise that many people will want to participate and show their personal respect for those who lost their lives.
Tidworth Military Cemetery, which contains burials of both wars, was directly connected with training grounds on, or near, Salisbury Plain. There are 417 First World War graves many of them Australian or New Zealand servicemen, 106 Second World War graves and 40 war graves of other nationalities.
Parking will be adjacent to the cemetery and refreshments will be served.
We look forward to seeing you on the 30 July, and to welcoming you to the commemoration event.
Kind regards, Jane Scott OBE, Leader Wiltshire Council and Brigadier Piers Hankinson, 43 Wessex Brigade

Wiltshire’s 5 Year Plan for health & social care NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is keen to hear your views and get your input into the provision of healthcare services across Wiltshire over the next five years.
Facilitated by Avril Baker Consultancy, the CCG is undertaking a consultation exercise aimed at identifying some of the barriers or problems that patients and the public may have experienced in accessing or receiving healthcare and feedback on future priorities. Feedback from local groups will enable the CCG to plan and organise better delivery of healthcare in the county over the next five years through progressing the following aims:
Encourage and support individuals to take responsibility for their own well-being
Ensure more equitable access to a high quality and affordable system, which delivers the best outcomes for the greatest number
Enable better provision of care at, or close to home, thereby reducing unnecessary hospital admissions
If you have any questions about this consultation please contact the Communications Team at Wiltshire CCG on 01380 733738 or e-mail wccg.info@nhs.net
